Just curious if anyone knows if this thing will natively, or via 3rd party app play VIDEO_TS folders on my WD TV. I googled VIDEO_TS to WD TV, and found many guys have the similar confusion.

“I plan to buy a WD TV HD player box that can hook up external hard drive to play movie from there. Question is does it support to play a folder “Video_TS” or not? I have a lot movies that ripped out in DVD format which is “Video_TS” and “Audio_TS” folder.”

When I click on VTS_01_1 it plays but stops and then I have to click on VTS_01_2 and so on.

Of course, some guys have given the answer. WD TV is NOT a DVD player. It will however play the .vob files in the VIDEO_TS folder. To play the whole VIDEO_TS folder on WD TV smoothly instead of playing multiple .vob file one by one, the best solution would be convert VIDEO_TS to a common video format for your media player. But it would be no DVD menu there anymore. So, before the conversion, you’d better backup your VIDEO_TS if necessary.
